17 Toxic Chemicals- EPA Targeted for Reduced Use
(The “33/50 Program” is an EPA voluntary pollution prevention initiative)
The General Services Administration endorses the EPA’ voluntary objectives which encourage paint manufacturers to reduce or eliminate the following 17 listed chemicals in products covered by this specification.
If applicable, a product label may state the product is free of the EPA list of 17 targeted toxic chemicals.
Note. “Acetone” was recently de-listed from the list of 17* Targeted Toxic Chemicals”.
