4.3.2 Inspection conditions. Unless otherwise specified, all inspections shall be performed in
accordance with ASTM D3924. Also, unless otherwise stated in the test method or paragraph,
room temperature shall be 73 ± 4 °F (23 ± 2 °C) and a 40 - 70 percent relative humidity.
4.4 Hazardous material. Failure to comply with the hazardous material requirements of FED-
STD-313 shall be cause for rejection.
4.5 Test methods.
4.5.1 Test conditions. Except as otherwise specified herein, the routine testing and referee testing
shall be conducted in accordance with ASTM D3924. A dry film thickness of 1.5 ± 0.2 mils (37.5
± 5 microns) shall be used whenever film thickness is requested in any test, unless otherwise
required by the test. Failure of any test result to fall within the specified ranges in section 3 shall
constitute failure of the applicable test.
