3.5.1 Component A (epoxy resin component). Component A shall conform to the quantitative
requirements of table II when tested as in section 4.

3.5.3 Mixed primer. The mixed primer shall conform to the quantitative requirements of table IV
when tested as in section 4 and shall contain no more than 2.8 lbs/gal (340 g/l) VOC content and is
HAP-free.
3.6 Qualitative requirements - liquid.
3.6.1 Condition in container.
3.6.1.1 Component A. When tested as specified in 4.5.7.1, component A shall be free from grit,
seeds, skins, abnormal thickening or livering in a freshly opened container and shall show no
more pigment settling or caking than can be easily and completely reincorporated to a smooth
homogeneous state.
3.6.1.2 Component B. When tested as specified in 4.5.7.2, component B shall be free from
sediment and suspended matter when examined by transmitted light. It shall show no livering,
curdling, gelling or skinning in a freshly opened full container.
3.6.2 Storage stability. After being tested as specified in 4.5.8, the primer shall meet all of the
requirements of this specification.
