3.3 Identification characteristics. Values for identification characteristics shall be provided by individual
contractors for characteristics as specified in table IV. The values shall be established for each individual coating
which comprises the coating system prior to qualification testing. The purpose of these values is to serve as a basis
for determining that the material being offered is essentially the same as that which was approved under qualification
testing. Conformance inspections shall be as specified (see 4.3).
