Labels should be in accordance with 29 CFR Parts 1910, 1915, 1917, 1918, 1926, and

b. All individual containers should have the following marking:
"CAUTION: This paint contains volatile solvents, with probable hazardous vapors. Use
with ample ventilation. Avoid prolonged breathing of vapors or spray mists. The
solvents are highly flammable, avoid open flame and smoking."
c. Each paint container, shipping container, and palletized load should be marked with the
appropriate hazardous symbol in accordance with FED-STD-313.
Volatile organic
"Contains a maximum of 250 grams of solvent of volatile organic content (VOC) per liter of
content (VOC)
paint per 40 CFR CH.1, part 60, Appendix A (EPA) Method 24."
OSHA Hazard
Markings should include all information necessary to comply with OSHA Hazard
Communication

Mixing and use
Directions should include mixing, application equipment directions, limitations on thinning,
instructions
temperature, range for use and surface preparation recommendations. Directions should refer
